My Martha Momement

Now that I am a SAHM (stay at home mom) I have found that after all the dishes are done and the house is clean, I need something creative to do once in a while. Parker takes a few one hour naps throughout the day, so it had to be something that can remain a work in progress. Why not SEWING???? I know my grandmothers would be proud after all the time and patience they spent teaching me how to sew as kiddo. So I decided to dust off the old sewing machine that has been hiding in the closet.

I discovered this amazing quilting store called "Strawberry Patches" that a friend recommended. Oh, and the fabric is so amazingly CUTE, I can't stand it! I pretty much went fabric crazy with ideas and projects....tie onesies, ruffle butt onesies, aprons, burprags. $80 later, I may have been a little over ambitious, but I leave with a smile on my face for the adventures that await me.

Here are a few of the projects that I have been working on. (Parker had to model off one of the girly outfits....shh don't tell him when he gets older, he might not ever forgive me :)

* If any of you need a fun shower gift, please let me know and I might be able to create something fun for you or a friend!

I also had a fun time painting letter for Parker's nursery.
